Your Impact
As a Senior Technical Program Manager for AI, you will drive programs that use the latest in AI technologies including Generative AI, LLMs, and Foundation Models to solve real Customer problems at global scale. You will partner with product management, engineering and science teams to drive the end-to-end roadmap for AI solutions, from identifying, evaluating, and fine tuning the best in class models, to data acquisition and model deployment in the field. You will define and own the team's inward facing and outward facing success metrics. You will identify the right 3Ps for Axon and drive the relationship with our partners to ensure our goals are met.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record owning machine learning roadmaps, including data acquisition, model development, model deployment. We need someone fearless who is willing to take on bold challenges, is passionate about applying AI to solve problem real world problems that impact the community, and is eager to learn and have fun applying the learnings. By building great products and accelerating the adoption of our technologies, you'll help protect life in public safety for both officers and the communities they serve around the world.
What You’ll Do
Location: Seattle (Remote)
Reports to: Director of Technical Program Management
- Define and drive the end-to-end roadmap for AI solutions, from data acquisition, model development, testing, and deployment in the field.
- Define and own inward/outward success metrics.
- Establish and own the relationship with Axon 3P partners.
- Evaluate and anticipate risks. Find creative solutions to deliver in time.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or an equivalent highly technical field.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience working in a software development organization that builds large-scale distributed systems as Software Engineer, ML Engineer, or Technical Program/Product Manager.
- 2+ years experience in the Machine Learning field.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with machine learning platforms and deploying models at scale in cloud environments (such as AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud).
- Experience writing technical specifications and roadmaps.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders: scientists, engineers, product managers.
Preferred
- Master’s or Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or an equivalent highly technical field.
- Prior machine learning experience as an researcher, engineer, or manager.
- Prior experience with international data privacy regulations and/or responsible AI.
- Experience automating metrics tracking.
