What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Regional Sales Director for the Northeast territory (CT, DC, DE,MA, ME, NH,NJ, NY, PA, RI,VT), you will drive sales of Honorlock’s leading academic integrity solutions to the higher education (HE) market within your region. The ideal candidate will possess tenacity and resilience in pursuing opportunities, empathy in understanding client needs, curiosity to explore new solutions, and a genuine desire to help institutions succeed. You will report to the VP of HE Sales and focus on the following:
- Consistently meeting and exceeding sales quotas within the specified time frame, demonstrating resilience in achieving targets.
- Building and expanding relationships with states, systems, and institutions through a consultative approach.
- Leading and coordinating internal teams to advance sales opportunities through the process with maximum efficiency
- Proactively identifying growth opportunities with a curious mindset and exploring new ways to deliver value.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends in educational technology, providing industry insights to clients.
- Crafting solution proposals that position Honorlock as the best option to support customers' needs and institutional goals.
- Negotiating pricing and contracts to close sales, demonstrating empathy and integrity throughout the process.
- Traveling within the Northeast region as needed to achieve revenue goals and build in-person connections.
- Participating in industry meetings and trade shows to represent Honorlock and foster new relationships.
What You Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven sales experience in educational technology, software sales, and/or services, selling into educational institutions or state systems.
- A track record of achievement in large enterprise software sales.
- Comfort engaging with customers in the region, especially at a higher education level.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with an emphasis on active listening and understanding customer needs.
- Experience selling at all levels, including "C" level and above.
- Knowledge of online assessments in education is a plus.
- A consultative sales approach or familiarity with the Challenger Methodology.
- Tenacity and resilience in meeting goals, alongside a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently with strong time management skills.
- A passion for helping clients achieve their goals and a curiosity to continuously learn and improve.
- Working familiarity with and desire to leverage Salesforce, Gong, and a variety of sales enablement and prospecting solutions
- Understanding of Learning Management Systems (e.g., D2L, Canvas, and Blackboard) is a plus.
- Critical sense for forecasting and detailed sales cycle management
- Willingness to travel 50-60% within the territory, often with minimal notice.
