About the Company / Protocol

Our Client, a leading institutional-grade RWA (real-world asset) DeFi protocol focused on tokenized credit, real-yield products, and fully collateralized, composable primitives. Emphasis is placed on robust risk management, credit enhancement, on-chain transparency, and legal structuring to meet the standards of traditional financial institutions.

Role Overview

High-impact Business Architect role at a rapidly scaling institutional-grade RWA DeFi protocol.

You will design and maintain the overall business framework, operating models, and enterprise capabilities for yield-bearing token products and their underlying real-world asset collateral. Working closely with Product, Risk, Legal, and Engineering teams, you will bridge traditional finance structuring expertise with on-chain tokenization to ensure scalable, compliant, and competitively differentiated products.

This role requires deep expertise in structured products and direct experience from leading Chinese securities firms in Hong Kong (e.g., CICC, Haitong Securities, Guotai Junan International) that have issued structured notes, yield-bearing instruments, tokenized assets, or been involved in stablecoin/virtual asset initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve the enterprise business architecture, including capability maps, value streams, process models, and governance frameworks for tokenized RWAs and yield-bearing tokens
  • Design structured product frameworks for yield-bearing tokens, incorporating credit enhancement, risk tranching, and composability features
  • Architect institutional-grade processes for collateral research, onboarding, structuring, and ongoing monitoring from traditional finance sources
  • Define due diligence, risk assessment, and transparency standards aligned with Hong Kong virtual asset regulations and global best practices
  • Translate competitive market analysis and product proposals into actionable business models and operating structures
  • Establish governance and reporting models for internal executive review and external token holder transparency
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with Product Managers, Developers, Legal, Compliance, and Business Development to deliver new products efficiently and compliantly
  • Identify structural risks, interdependencies, and scalability opportunities across the organization and ecosystem

Requirements (non-negotiable)

  • 8+ years in business architecture, enterprise architecture, or strategy roles within investment banking, securities firms, fintech, or DeFi/RWA protocols
  • Proven expertise in structured products (e.g., equity-linked notes, derivatives, CBBCs, autocallables, yield enhancement products)
  • Direct experience at major Chinese securities firms in Hong Kong such as CICC, Haitong Securities, Guotai Junan International, or equivalent institutions with structured product issuance or virtual asset activities
  • Strong knowledge of real-world asset tokenization, yield-bearing tokens, stablecoins, and Hong Kong SFC virtual asset regulatory framework
  • Experience modeling business capabilities, processes, and value streams (tools like ArchiMate, BPMN, UML highly desirable)
  • Professional fluency in English and Mandarin/Cantonese (meetings, documentation, and stakeholder communication are bilingual)

Nice-to-have

  • Prior work on tokenized funds, private credit, or fixed-income structuring in a DeFi context
  • Familiarity with on-chain transparency mechanisms and DeFi composability standards
  • Experience contributing to regulatory consultations or licensing applications for virtual assets in Hong Kong
  • Background in credit risk modeling or collateral management frameworks

Location

Hong Kong / Shenzhen strongly preferred – Onsite or hybrid encouraged for close collaboration; remote considered for exceptional candidates with strong Greater China exposure and Asia-Pacific time zone alignment.
