💼 About the Role

As a Full Stack Developer at Martell Ventures, you'll act as the technical co-founder inside our venture studio model. You’ll architect, build, and deploy high-leverage AI products from scratch, partnering directly with a commercial Business Lead and supported by elite operators.

This role is for builders who thrive in zero-to-one environments, love solving real customer problems, and want ownership in companies designed to scale fast.

You’ll work across frontend, backend, and AI systems to ship full-stack applications that are reliable, fast, and revenue-generating from day one.

🔍 What You’ll Do

Product & Engineering Execution

• Architect, build, and deploy full-stack features that deliver real value to paying users.

• Own backend, frontend, and infrastructure decisions that enable speed and scalability.

• Build fast experiments, prototypes, and production-grade systems inside 90-day launch cycles.

• Implement AI workflows, automations, and integrations using modern LLMs and vector architectures.

• Maintain clean, modular, and scalable codebases with a focus on velocity and leverage.

Collaboration & Strategy

• Work side-by-side with the Business Lead to turn user feedback into rapid product iteration.

• Prioritize development based on revenue opportunity and high-signal customer insights.

• Participate actively in roadmap planning, technical decisions, and GTM alignment.

• Communicate clearly, ship frequently, and operate with founder-level urgency.

Systems, DevOps & Quality

• Own CI/CD pipelines, deployment environments, monitoring, and reliability.

• Ensure system performance, uptime, and security from day one.

• Build with scalability, modularity, and automation top of mind.

🧠 What You Bring

Required

• 3–5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer with strong execution velocity.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including modern frameworks for both frontend and backend development.

• Solid experience building and consuming APIs and architecting clean, separated-concern environments.

• Demonstrable experience delivering AI projects and production-grade full stack applications.

• Hands-on experience with LLMs including Gemini, Claude, and OpenAI, with the ability to integrate and optimize model behavior in real applications.

• Experience working with agent frameworks such as Google Agent SDK, Vercel SDK, Maestra, Convex, or similar.

• Database exposure with tools like Supabase, Convex, or equivalent modern database platforms.

• Strong understanding of system design, modularity, and scalable architecture in rapid-build environments.

• Comfort with owning development end to end, from architecture to deployment.

Preferred

• Previous experience in early-stage startups or zero-to-one build environments.

• Exposure to cloud platforms and DevOps fundamentals for shipping fast and reliably.

• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, or retrieval workflows that power AI features.

• Experience working in tight customer feedback loops that require fast iteration.
