Our Vision

We believe in a world where travel companies can innovate freely, growing and accelerating their business, while delivering the experience travelers want and the change the industry needs.

FLYR is a technology company that unlocks freedom to innovate for the travel industry – eliminating legacy constraints to enable real-time decision making and create the experiences travelers seek. With FLYR, businesses are able to quickly unlock modern retailing capabilities, improve revenue performance and modernize the e-commerce experience.

Flight Itinerary (About The Role)

We’re looking for a talented, experienced and passionate Senior Frontend Developer to join FLYR’s Design System team - a crucial part of our frontend engineering development. In this role, you’ll be shaping the Design System product, building its engineering architecture and ensuring that our product teams have the artifacts they need to build and ship an excellent product.

You’ll collaborate closely with designers and product teams to deliver seamless and performant UI components, while driving best practices in API design and components architecture. Expect to work on a high-impact product, where your decisions influence everything from developer experience to user interactions.

Let’s get you on board!

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)
  • You will build and maintain reusable, high-performance UI components that integrate seamlessly with our products.
  • You will define and enforce standards for the components, making sure they stay consistent, but also allow for some level of flexibility.
  • You will collaborate closely with designers to translate designs into functional components.
  • You will contribute to tooling and infrastructure, supporting versioning, CI/CD pipelines, and automated tests.
  • You will advocate for the design system's adoption and evolution, gathering feedback and driving improvements across teams.
  • You’ll have a possibility of working on the high-impact project that is run in a vast majority of FLYR’s products.
  • You will work in a space where you’ll open your laptop each day with excitement and close it with satisfaction.
  • You will have a possibility of staying in direct contact with our customers.
  • Ownership really matters – we know it’s important to always have your own “something” at work. Therefore, beyond your regular responsibilities, we want to entrust you with ownership of a selected part of the codebase or architecture — like a specific module of solution in our library.
What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)

As an engineer you’re ready to join us because you:

  • have a degree and/or advanced domain expertise and successful industry experience in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Maths
  • have 5+ years of relevant work experience in frontend applications development
  • possess extensive knowledge of React and its ecosystem, TypeScript, HTML semantics and CSS
  • have an in-depth understanding of design patterns and programming best practices
  • have an experience with components testing (e.g. Jest, RTL, Cypress, Playwright, Chromatic)
  • worked with CSS-in-JS (e.g. styled components) and other CSS processors (like SASS)
  • have a strong focus on modularisation and reusability (DRY, clean code), scalability and maintainability
  • have a keen eye for UI/UX and outstanding attention to detail
  • have an experience of working closely with product/UX designers
  • are fluent in English, able to speak and write proficiently – it’s our working language

As a team member you’re a fantastic fit because you:

  • have an open mind, feel team spirit and you exercise the can-do attitude
  • embrace the ownership
  • are solution-oriented
  • have excellent communication skills
  • are able to always think one step ahead
  • are able to work autonomously, pair with a peer, or collaborate as a member of our distributed team
Optional Carry-On (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Systems thinking
  • Experience with optimizing application performance
  • DevOps experience, building and maintaining pipelines and workflows (ideally with GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with bundlers: Webpack, Rollup
  • Experience with building and maintaining versioned npm libraries such as internal or open source component libraries, styling systems, or utilities for developer experience
  • Experience with Storybook
  • Experience with Design Systems, 3rd party UI components libraries and WCAG
First-Class Amenities
  • Regular employment contract
  • Equity in Series D startup with high growth potential
  • Flexible working hours
  • Complimentary Breakfast/Lunch (in-office)
  • Sports card
  • Medical care
  • Life Insurance
  • Top-quality tech equipment
  • Annual educational fund
  • English classes
  • Many more!
