About the Role

As a Senior Web UI Engineer at Xebia, you will collaborate on the development of modern, scalable web applications using Next.js. You’ll work close to the code while contributing to the design and evolution of front-end systems used in production environments.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy combining strong hands-on development with thoughtful technical decision-making. You’ll be part of a lean team where your input is expected, valued, and actively considered when shaping solutions

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain Next.js web applications supporting two retail platforms
• Contribute to the evolution of shared front-end architecture across multiple products
• Implement scalable, maintainable UI solutions aligned with business and user needs
• Collaborate closely with the team to deliver end-to-end features
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environment
• Continuously improve code quality, performance, and developer experience
• Support technical evaluations of other consultants when required, contributing to the assessment of skills and alignment with project needs

What You Bring

• +8 years of front-end experience, with strong recent experience in Next.js
• Proven experience building SSR applications with Next.js
• Strong hands-on coding experience (JavaScript / modern front-end)
• Solid knowledge of performance optimization and Web Vitals
• Deep understanding of JavaScript fundamentals and browser behavior

Nice to have:

• Experience deploying and managing apps on Vercel
• Exposure to A/B testing tools
