Land Solutions, Project Manager – Utility & Transmission (Midwest Region)

Job Summary
The Land Solutions Project Manager (PM) will oversee complex utility and transmission projects across the Midwest region (WI, IL, and surrounding states). The PM will serve as the primary client liaison, responsible for defining scope, schedule, and budget, leading the project team, and ensuring successful execution of all phases of project delivery. This position requires a proven background in utility and transmission right-of-way projects, from permitting and land acquisition through project closeout.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and staffing.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the acquisition of property rights, permitting, and stakeholder coordination for transmission and utility projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing consistent updates and progress reporting.
  • Manage contracts, proposals, and change orders to ensure alignment with project objectives and profitability.
  • Monitor project performance metrics, financials, and deliverables using project management tools such as Deltek Vision.
  • Coordinate with sub-consultants, land agents, and document teams to maintain project accuracy and accountability.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of experience managing utility, transmission, or right-of-way projects.
  • Proven understanding of easement acquisition, permitting, and landowner negotiations.
  • Strong project management, leadership, and client communication skills.
  • Experience working with GIS-based systems and project-tracking tools.

Preferred Location: Wisconsin or Illinois (open to remote candidates within the region).
