Overview: Cypress Valley

Cypress Valley’s event center is a unique fairy-tale venue with a ceremony platform suspended between two ancient cypress trees and lodging for event guests in nationally acclaimed treehouses. We are looking for the right candidate to become part of our team and help us manage and grow our event business, starting in late summer/early fall, 2024.

Cypress Valley opened in 2005; however, our event center is a more recent addition. The person who fills this position has an opportunity to shape and grow the event business, develop new types of events and also execute previously booked business.

We are seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to join our growing company and help us create unforgettable events. You will play a key role in managing all aspects of the event planning process, from client relations and venue tours to day-of coordination. If you have a strong track record in the events industry and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and maintain existing relationships.
  • Venue Tours: Conduct tours of the venue, highlighting its unique features and amenities.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service throughout the planning process.
  • Day-of Coordination: Oversee all aspects of event setup, execution, and breakdown on the day of the event.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a small team, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Existing relationships with Austin event planners.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and jump in where needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for the events industry and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Preferred Experience:

    • Previous experience in event planning or coordination.
    • Knowledge of the Austin event market and local vendors.
