Realm is on a mission to bring simplicity to homeownership. From the day you buy your home to the day it is sold, there are a series of complex and expensive decisions to be made. What should you renovate? How much should it cost? Should you refinance? When does it make sense to move?

That’s where Realm comes in. With primary residences accounting for 62% of the average American’s net worth, we’re building a single destination to empower homeowners to decide what to do with their home, and then help them do those things seamlessly. And we’re starting with solving the most complex of these decisions – renovations.

Today we’ve helped 500+ homeowners navigate renovations totaling over $70M with industry-leading, proprietary data and expert guidance from our Realm Advisors. We’re on track to be a $1B+ business in the next few years, and are backed by top-tier VC firms like GGV, Lerer Hippeau, and Primary Venture Partners.

About Us:

At Realm, we're passionate about supporting homeowners through their renovation journey and creating meaningful connections within our communities. We're currently seeking a highly motivated and outgoing individual to join our dynamic team as an Event Sales Representative. This is not your typical sales position; we're seeking someone who thrives in the lively atmosphere of community events (think: farmers markets, sporting events, retail pop-ups, etc).

We are currently hiring this position in the Bay Area, Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego.

Responsibilities:

  • Experiment with community marketing initiatives such as in-person retail pop-ups, farmers markets, real estate expos, and local flyering.
  • Perform event setup, including arranging product displays, signage, and promotional materials.
  • Initiate genuine conversations, effectively conveying Realm's renovation advisory service to spark interest, generate leads, book meetings, and drive sales.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and fostering positive relationships.
  • Meet individual sales targets while contributing to the overall team goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven success in sales, preferably in events, retail, real estate, or construction.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and build relationships.
  • Have access to a reliable vehicle for transporting event equipment such as a tent, table, marketing materials, etc.
  • Proficiency in using technology, including point-of-sale systems, tablets, and CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and demonstrating a proactive attitude.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to successfully close sales
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by event schedules.

Additional Information:

  • Part-time position; weekend availability is required
  • Starting pay: $26 per hour with uncapped commission potential
  • Compensation will be provided on an hourly basis, with commission payment awarded monthly
  • Training and ongoing support will be provided to ensure success in the role
  • Opportunities for career growth and advancement within the company may be available for exceptional performers

If you're someone who loves local events, is approachable and engaging, and enjoys connecting with homeowners, we'd love to hear from you! To apply, please submit your resume, along with a brief cover letter highlighting your relevant experience and why you are interested in this position. We look forward to hearing from you!
