Avalor is now part of Zscaler and we are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team working in a #HYBRID mode in Ramat Gan and reporting to the local Manager, Software Engineering in Israel, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintain high-quality, scalable backend services within a microservices architecture using Java /Spring Boot and Python & participate in design from scratch to production
  • Delivering high quality features for our high-scale web environment
  • Monitoring the performance and cost of the services in production
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to improve our technology stack and development processes
  • Integrating with other team members (backend/frontend/product/UX) & mentor junior engineers and share your expertise with the team

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 3+ years of proven backend development experience using Java/Spring Boot
  • 1+ years of experience with Python
  • Experience working in a microservices environment, including AWS, Kubernetes, SQS, and Tilt

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with client-side development, using React
  • Proficiency in various data stores such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Snowflake, and Elastic
