Position:
Discovery Cube invites you to join our outstanding team! We are seeking a dynamic Sales professional who is passionate about providing exceptional guest service, sales focused, able to coordinate, direct and execute sales related tasks, possesses critical thinking skills required to problem solve while achieving sales goals.
Responsibilities:
The Sale Coordinator role supports and directs sales related tasks to the Sales team. As a sales professional they excel in articulating and selling Discovery Cube’s vast line up of products including, exhibits, festivals, field trips, Science-to-Go, environmental sponsored programs and more. The Sales Coordinator is the architect of the Sales team’s daily, weekly, monthly tasks and responsibilities, while actively working to meet and exceed sales goals. This role requires a sales leader who is a team player, critical thinker, learns quickly, possesses excellent guest service skills, can multi-task, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Active selling, cold calling and order processing of all the Education Sales’ catalogue of products
- Lead generation and relationship building leveraging multiple sales strategies
- Liaise with Operations and Education teams at both Discovery Cube sites
- Brand ambassador with excellent presentation and service skills
- Ongoing flexibility while the business evolves and grows for both Discovery Cube sites
- Backup to Sales Support Specialist
Qualifications:
- Some college coursework or a Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in Guest Services or Sales; Hospitality or Theme park experience is a plus
- Demonstrates effective leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and multi-tasking
- A consummate professional with a positive attitude
- Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and/or part of a team
- Strong customer service orientation with a positive and professional demeanor
- Full- time, including some nights and weekends depending on department needs
- Reliable transportation and can periodically travel where ever the business demands including but not limited to Los Angeles County and Orange County
- Proficient in Microsoft Office- Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
- Galaxy Reservation System experience preferred
