Our Mission At Liberis – merchants matter most! We’ve been on a mission to provide small and medium businesses (SMEs) with accessible and responsive finance since 2007. Why & how we do it SMEs account for most businesses worldwide and are critical contributors to job creation and global economic development. They represent about 90% of businesses and more than 50% of employment worldwide. Despite this, more than three quarters (77%) of SME businesses last year were unable to secure the traditional bank financing they desperately needed to grow and thrive. This has created a $5 trillion funding gap for SMEs globally. That’s where Liberis steps in! To best help small businesses, Liberis has built the leading global embedded finance platform. Through this, Liberis provides partners with the technology and financial solutions necessary to offer personalised and accessible funding to their small business customers. To date with ~20 global strategic partners and direct reach to more than 1 million small businesses, Liberis has provided $1 bn of funding in over 50,000 transactions, enabling more than 100,000 jobs to be created and saved. We use data to help partners understand their customers’ real time needs and tech to offer tailor-made funding and financial products. Empowering small businesses to grow and keep their independent spirit alive is central to our vision. 

Up to now we have funded almost 40,000 small businesses with over $1.5bn - but we believe there is much more to be done.  

 

The role

 

As a Sales Executive, you will manage your own pipeline and work with business owners to understand their funding needs, sell the Liberis solution and then assist them through the process to completed funding. Uniquely, our partnership model drives a high volume of qualified, inbound leads that our Sales team are experts in converting. 

In this role, you’ll engage directly with business owners to understand their funding needs, present the Liberis solution, and support them throughout the process to secure funding. Internally, you’ll collaborate closely with teams across Partnerships, Operations, and Risk to ensure an outstanding customer experience from start to finish. 

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Manage a pipeline of new customers, taking full ownership from initial contact to onboarding as live customers
  • Leverage a combination of inbound and outbound sales strategies across multiple channels, utilising Liberis’ sales tools such as Gong and Salesforce
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate seamless onboarding, ensuring successful initial funding before transitioning customers to the Renewals team for ongoing support and future funding opportunities
  • Deliver a premium, consultative experience for customers, maintaining a “white glove” standard of service
  • Gather feedback, iterate on strategies, and identify winning approaches for Liberis in the UK market. Document learnings from trials and tests to establish best practices adopted across Liberis globally
  • Advocate for UK merchants internally, ensuring their needs are championed, while representing Liberis externally as a trusted partner
  • Serve as a role model and mentor, providing guidance and support to junior members of the sales team
