About the role:
We are seeking a strategic and empathetic Product Manager to lead the end-to-end experience for our Retail Mortgage Loan Officers (MLOs). Your mission is to streamline the loan officer workflow—from first contact with a lead through final loan funding—by delivering intuitive, compliant, and scalable tools.
This role is responsible for owning and optimizing systems that power quoting, disclosures, lead engagement, compliance workflows, and internal task management. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Sales, Compliance, Legal, Engineering, and Enablement to reduce friction and drive meaningful improvements to MLO productivity, regulatory accuracy, and borrower experience.
This is a hybrid position with the requirement of 3 full days in our Omaha, NE office.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the voice of the loan officer, regularly shadowing and interviewing MLOs to identify friction points and unmet workflow needs
- Own the product roadmap for MLO-facing tools, including CRM, pricing/eligibility engines, communication templates, and disclosure workflows
- Partner with Compliance and Legal to simplify disclosure and fee tolerance workflows while ensuring regulatory accuracy (e.g., LE/CD timing, licensing checks)
- Map and document the full MLO journey from lead to close, identifying opportunities to reduce manual steps, increase conversion, and improve tool usability
- Launch product features that improve speed-to-quote, document collection, and lead-to-loan conversion
- Translate user and business needs into clear, actionable product specs in collaboration with Design and Engineering
- Lead rollout and adoption efforts, working closely with Sales Enablement and Training to ensure strong product utilization and ongoing feedback loops
- Monitor feature usage, adoption metrics, and impact on MLO performance over time
About you:
- 3–6+ years of experience in product management, sales operations, or sales enablement, ideally within mortgage, fintech, or other regulated consumer finance environments
- Deep understanding of retail loan officer workflows and compliance obligations (e.g., initial disclosures, LE/CD timing, borrower communication standards)
- Hands-on experience with LOS systems (e.g., Encompass), CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and pricing/eligibility tools
- Ability to convert qualitative field insights into scalable product solutions
- Strong communication skills and proven success aligning stakeholders across Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering
- Comfortable managing regulatory constraints within user-centered product development
- Track record of shipping tools or features that improved sales performance, process efficiency, or compliance reliability
- It’s a bonus if:
- You’ve launched internal tools in a regulated financial services or mortgage lending environment
- You have a background in mortgage sales, origination platforms, or compliance tooling
- You’ve worked in a high-growth fintech or B2C SaaS product organization
