Position Overview:
We’re looking for a back-end engineer to join our website development team to modernize our e-commerce platform and website. This is a role to work on high-level, complex projects with large-scale
and high-impact systems.
A strong predictor for success will be evident in a candidate who:

Responsibilities for a Software Developer will include:
● Designing and writing clean, testable, and maintainable code
● Delivering new features, fixing defects, and improving the existing codebase
● Modeling best coding practices
● Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
● Development of Oracle Web Commerce (ATG) applications and support.
● Work with TPMs to collect and develop bug-fix requirements for added website functionality and improvements on existing applications.
● Research new technology and ideas to enhance website and commerce functions.
● Working closely with other Developers, Product Managers, Customer Service team, QA team to understand and gather requirements
● Participate in code reviews and resolve security and vulnerability issues as they arise.
● Extensive knowledge of web accessibility and back-end performance
● Implement development best practices and standards.
What you’ll need to succeed:
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
● 5+ years of work experience in back-end web development
● Proficient understanding of the following:
Web markup, mainly HTML5, CSS3, including W3C validation and compliance
Good knowledge of SQL and database fundamentals (Oracle, MySQL).
Client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery and React
Cross-browser compatibility issues and debugging methodology.
Code versioning tools, such as Git
● Have a sharp eye and attention to detail for both the visual rendering and coding
● Knowledge of ecommerce best practices, frameworks and tools
● Comfortable working in an agile/iterative development environment
● Write unit, integration and end-to-end tests
● Knowledge of GraphQL and REST APIs
● Desire to deliver work in a fast-paced agile environment
