About the Role
Baron Capital is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Director of Thought Leadership and Product Marketing to join our marketing team. This individual will play a critical role in developing original, data-driven thought leadership content that reflects and reinforces Baron Capital’s investment philosophy and process. It will highlight the uniqueness of the firm and help clients and prospects understand how to utilize the investment services. The focus should be on building brand awareness and market share. The Thought Leadership and Product Content Strategist will create compelling and insightful content that positions Baron Capital as a leader in growth investing, targeting institutional investors, financial advisors, and individual clients.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute a thought leadership content strategy that aligns with Baron Capital’s investment philosophy and long-term growth focus.
- Research and analyze market trends, economic and market data, and company performance to identify themes and insights relevant to Baron Capital’s investment approach.
- Produce high-quality content, including white papers, market commentaries, investor letters, articles, blog posts, and presentations.
- Form independent, well-supported points of view based on data and research ensuring alignment with Baron Capital’s voice and messaging.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, research analysts, and portfolio risk and analytics team to translate complex investment insights into clear, accessible, and engaging content.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy across all content, maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism
- Monitor and analyze the impact of thought leadership content, using data to refine positioning and enhance engagement.
- Stay informed about industry developments, and emerging trends to identify opportunities for new content.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, CFA) is a plus
- 7+ years of experience in financial writing, investment research, or asset management communications
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and asset management principles
- Proficiency in Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, NASDAQ eVestment, and other applicable financial databases
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to independently research and synthesize complex data into clear, compelling insights
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a focus on clarity and accuracy
- Ability to develop independent, research-backed points of view that align with Baron Capital’s investment philosophy
- Experience collaborating with investment professionals and translating technical insights into accessible language

The base salary range for this position is based on skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. It is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. It also participates in the Firm's 401(k) and Profit-Sharing Plan. The Firm's comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage, along with short and long-term disability insurance coverage. Pay Transparency
$200,000 - $240,000 USD
