What you will do
You will be responsible for the security monitoring of our AWS and Kubernetes landscape and the workloads therein. For this, you use the tools AWS provides and extend them or adapt new tools and procedures. You automate detection and response, as well as monitoring and reporting. In case of a security incident, you employ the containment with the other stakeholders, conduct the impact analysis, gather indicators of compromise and prepare the documentation. You employ threat intelligence methods a priority to better our posture and harden our setup, be it from a central monitoring perspective or in conjunction with teams to address specific requirements.
What will help you to fulfill your role
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- You have experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS
- You know Kubernetes and the cloud native landscape
- Strong knowledge of security principles and threats and applying them to the cloud environments
- Familiarity in scenario-based security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK
- Familiarity with SIEM Systems and even analysis
- Experience in handling security incidents and the aftermath of those incidents
- Familiarity with industry security standards such as OWASP Top 10
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, English is a must, German is a plus.
- Knowledge in programming languages such as TypeScript or Go
