JOB DUTIES
- Client Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong, long-term relationships with key aerospace clients, including OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), suppliers, and government agencies.
- Primary Point of Contact: Act as the main liaison for assigned accounts, promptly addressing client inquiries, concerns, and service requests.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for new business growth within existing accounts, expanding the company’s presence and revenue.
- Sales Performance: Meet or exceed sales targets by developing tailored account strategies, accurately forecasting sales, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
- Strategic Input: Provide feedback on pricing strategies and product development to ensure competitiveness and alignment with market demands.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging aerospace technologies to proactively address client needs.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all activities adhere to aerospace industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements, prioritizing safety and legal obligations.
- Project Coordination: Oversee the seamless delivery of products and services, working closely with internal teams (engineering, production, logistics) to ensure high-quality outcomes and timely delivery.
- Issue Resolution: Address any project-related challenges, including delays, budget concerns, or product quality issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- CRM Management: Utilize CRM software to track account activities, sales pipelines, and client interactions to maintain organized, data-driven processes.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, ensuring clear, competitive, and mutually beneficial agreements.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to contracts, product deliveries, and client relationships, proactively developing solutions to minimize disruption.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Sales Expertise: In-depth knowledge of sales processes, negotiation techniques, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
- Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Organizational Acumen: Excellent organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Time Management: Proven track record of meeting deadlines and managing time effectively across multiple projects.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented approach to overcoming challenges.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with internal teams, including engineering, production, and logistics, to drive project success.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to engage with clients and participate in industry events.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related software applications.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. (Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- Professional Experience: 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the aerospace industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with aerospace technologies, products, and services (e.g., aircraft systems, components, defense contracts, etc.) is highly desirable.
Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.
Local Pay Range $80,000—$120,000 CAD
