Role summary
As a Data Engineer on the Basketview team, you’ll build high-performance systems and data pipelines that underpin core analytics and client-facing products. You’ll design distributed pipelines, help automate and optimize analytical workflows , and work closely with Product, Data Science, and Infrastructure groups to evolve our data platform.
Your main responsibilities
- Help design and development of data pipelines processing high-volume consumer data.
- Work on systems to support real-time analytics and reporting pipelines.
- Ensure reliability, observability, and maintainability across distributed systems.
- Collaborate with data engineers and product teams to align business and technical needs.
- Uphold security and compliance standards in data handling.
- Familiarity with NLP pipelines (embeddings, text processing) is a plus.
We’re looking for someone with
- 3+ years of data/backend engineering experience.
- Strong background in Python and SQL with experience in distributed systems.
- Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS) and IaC (Terraform, Pulumi).
- Experience with CI/CD and containerized deployments.
- Ability to collaborate across time zones and technical disciplines.
Tech stack & team context
Basketview’s platform combines data pipelines in Python and SQL with Terraform, Pulumi, and Kubernetes. You’ll work cross-functionally with the Location and AI Products teams to build data services supporting analytics and model integration.

Salary
The annual base salary for this role is between $175,000 – $225,000 based on experience, with the opportunity for a performance-based bonus, company equity, 401(k) matching, paid parental leave, flexible and generous time off, work-from-home flexibility, and subsidized health benefits.
