Junior Software Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Translate business requirements and UI/UX wireframes into high-quality software.
• Write test-driven, clean, and efficient code for new user-facing features.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
• Document programming-related information clearly.
• Uphold full-stack engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with team members, designers, and product managers to iterate on product design and implementation.
• Design and develop scalable services to meet company needs.
• Contribute to applications for the website, mobile app, and external client apps.
• Stay current with emerging technologies.

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience developing web applications using JavaScript/React utilizing modern libraries and tooliing.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and a strong understanding of REST principles.
• Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions.
• Experience with GitHub and NoSQL databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure.
• Team-oriented with a business-minded approach to time, costs, and deadlines.

Bonus Points

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS.
• Knowledge of languages beyond JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Passion for staying updated on the latest cloud trends and technologies.
