Our client, one of the biggest technology companies in Asia, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their Intelligence team. you will work with a highly skilled team focused on architecting, developing and maintaining systems used across the business to give their market research a competitive & data-driven edge. You will ensure market intelligence systems are accurate and advantageous through advanced automation and scraping techniques to find market & competitor data.
In this role, you will get to:
- Develop and deploy secure and scalable systems to collect publicly available data from competitors, such as pricing, product offerings, and market trends.
- Ensure all data collection activities comply with legal and regulatory guidelines, maintaining the highest ethical standards.
- Design robust systems to protect our data collection mechanisms from external detection or interference.
- Apply advanced security practices to safeguard our competitive intelligence processes while adhering to ethical and legal frameworks.
- Collaborate with leadership to translate competitive intelligence into pricing strategies and market positioning.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on comprehensive data analysis to drive business advantage.
- Mentor and guide hands-on engineers in scripting and developing tools for data collection.
- Work cross-functionally with product, business, and engineering teams to align technical initiatives with business goals.
You'll be successful if you have:
- Strong background in security engineering, system design, and web scrapping.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and familiarity with various systems and platforms.
- Knowledge of frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and best practices in secure and ethical data collection.
- Ability to align technical capabilities with business strategies, focusing on pricing and market competitiveness.
- Experience in competitive intelligence or pricing optimization in a legal and ethical context is highly desirable.
- Proven experience mentoring and guiding technical teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to bridge technical and business domains.
