Your future role at QRT
We are looking for an exceptional Software Engineer to be an integral member of the Data Engineering team. We work closely to solve challenging problems that have direct impact on our business and trading.

In this role, you will play a key part in designing, building, and expanding our data platform, with a focus on the development of our new data pipeline framework. You will have the opportunity to develop highly scalable and performant solutions, while partnering with various stakeholders within QRT. Prior experience with financial data is beneficial but not necessary; we welcome talented developers without a background in financial services and are happy to provide training and guidance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust services following industry best practices
  • Develop reusable libraries and components for our Data Integration team and researchers
  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers to shape and implement new framework features
  • Provide reactive support to users of our services

Your present skillset

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Expertise in programming, system design, and architecture
  • Proficiency in Python, experience with Rust is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with modern data ecosystems, including data lakes and data lakehouses (e.g. Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, Snowflake)
  • Familiarity with columnar dataframes, data governance, lineage and metadata
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Experience with cloud platforms, with a preference for AWS
  • Fluent English
