Overview

RTW is seeking a Project Manager with 3+ years of experience in agile environments to play a key role in bridging the gap between data science teams, engineering teams and medical  investment professionals. In this role, you will manage the data science and engineering development lifecycle, translate business requirements into actionable developer tasks, and ensure deliverables meet the highest quality standards to enhance RTW’s decision-making process. Key Responsibilities

• Plan sprints and manage the end-to-end engineering lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams: gather requirements, define user stories, and oversee execution.
• Translate business needs into clear developer tasks and track progress to ensure successful delivery.
• Manage Agile task tracking frameworks (using both JIRA and Liminal)
• Translate technical challenges, status, needs into clear business side messaging via PowerPoint, email, slack and other non-technical channels.
• Conduct testing to identify bugs, validate fixes, and maintain product quality.
• Collaborate with research teams to develop and oversee a robust and reliable QA process.
• Maintain documentation, timelines, and project status updates for transparency and alignment across teams.
• Proactively identify risks and bottlenecks, and work with stakeholders to resolve them quickly.

Qualifications and Skills

• 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role within a development environment.  Preferably within a hedge fund, investment bank, management consultancy or other asset management firm.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog management.
• Ability to communicate effectively between engineers and non-technical stakeholders, with strong skills in translating business requirements into technical tasks.
• High attention to detail; ability to test and identify issues in software applications.
• Familiarity with technical concepts and tools such as data warehouses, cloud tools (Databricks, Stardog), cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), web application development, and QA testing.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience with healthcare or therapeutics is a bonus but not required

The base salary for this 1099 role will be commensurate with experience. Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and the level at which the role is hired.
