How will this role will ServeOwn and Grow at Rev:

Our team at Rev is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team, focusing on leveraging data to drive success across our Sales, Finance, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product departments. With a particular emphasis on Sales and Marketing, the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of how to analyze and interpret data to fuel sales strategies, optimize financial performance, lead funnel metrics and support the broader organizational goals across multiple departments. Candidates should have expert-level knowledge of SQL, Snowflake, dbt, Looker, and LookML, and be strategic thinkers capable of turning complex datasets into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable and robust data models in Snowflake using dbt, ensuring data accuracy and reliability across Sales, Finance, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product departments, with a primary focus on Sales and Marketing.
  • Design, build, and maintain critical dashboards and reports in Looker, providing key insights that drive business decisions for the Sales and Marketing teams, while also supporting Finance, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams.
  • Write complex SQL queries to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimization, and customer engagement enhancement.
  • Collaborate closely with the various departments to deeply understand their data needs, define key metrics, and deliver actionable insights that drive performance to ensure a holistic approach to data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead the development and implementation of data governance and quality standards to ensure data integrity and consistency across the organization, with special attention to the nuances of the sales and marketing data.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of data analytics projects, from requirement gathering through data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings, ensuring that all departments benefit from data insights.
  • Train and mentor junior analysts and stakeholders across departments on data analysis tools and best practices, with a focus on empowering the Sales and Marketing teams through data literacy.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data analytics technologies, continuously seeking ways to improve our data analytics capabilities.

Requirements

Technical

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with a proven track record of leveraging data to drive business outcomes, especially in sales.
  • Expertise in SQL, Snowflake, dbt, Looker, and LookML is essential.
  • Strong experience working with data across Sales, Finance, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of sales data.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in data governance, data quality management, and data privacy standards.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Location

  • To be considered for this position candidates must be based in the Austin, TX Metropolitan Area and willing to commute to the Rev office 2-3 days per week. Our office is located at 1717 W 6th St #310, Austin, TX 78703.
