We’re looking for a passionate and self-motivated Senior React Native / Frontend Mobile Engineer to join our growing team and help shape the future of our mobile experience. As the first dedicated hire on our mobile team, you’ll collaborate closely with our Staff Engineer who currently leads mobile development, and play a key role in building and scaling our React Native app. You’ll have the chance to work on several exciting greenfield initiatives from the ground up. While your primary focus will be mobile, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute across the broader frontend layer, helping to deliver a seamless and cohesive user experience across our platform.
- Design, develop, and implement user-friendly and responsive web interfaces using modern front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate UI/UX mockups into functional and performant web applications.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Work closely with back-end engineers & the Frontera ML team to integrate front-end components with the platform's back-end functionalities.
- Assist with debugging and troubleshooting front-end issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in front-end development frameworks and libraries.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions.
- Lead and drive architectural decisions on the direction of the mobile app
- Establish best practices and help build out foundational pillars of our mobile app
- 4 to 6 years of experience in front-end development with a strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and Typescript (ES6+).
- 4 to 6 years of experience with using React Native and Expo.
- Ability to work in and understand backend systems.
- Multiple mobile apps owned, executed, and delivered end to end and brought to market.
- Experience with a modern front-end framework (React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Experience with building responsive web applications for various devices (desktop, tablet, mobile).
- Proficiency in writing clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Excels working in a very fast moving environment and motivated by the opportunity to build greenfield products.

We have determined a salary range for this position that takes into account several factors including experience, knowledge, education, skills, and abilities. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline and the exact salary will be determined based on the individual’s qualifications and experience, with consideration given to the factors listed above. All full time employee benefits include a stake in shared success through stock options, health benefits, 401(k) plan, and responsible PTO.

$130,000 - $170,000 USD
