Senior Software Engineer iOS
Published: 2025-10-28Job details
At Blacklane, we create a space where people want to be — whether that’s our passengers in the back seat or the chauffeurs behind the wheel. Our Chauffeur App is the heartbeat of that experience, used daily by professional drivers in more than 50 countries.
We’re looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to help us shape the next generation of this app — someone who can think in systems, code with clarity, and bring others along the journey.
Our tech stack includes: Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, SPM, async/await, GraphQL, Firebase, Fastlane, Datadog, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
YOUR CHALLENGE:-
Lead the architectural evolution of our Chauffeur App, driving decisions around modularization, testing, and scalability.
-
Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver reliable, intuitive features that help chauffeurs everywhere do their work seamlessly.
-
Champion best practices in SwiftUI, Combine, async/await, and modern iOS patterns.
-
Contribute to continuous delivery and observability — from CI/CD pipelines to crash reporting and release management.
-
Mentor teammates through pair programming, reviews, and design sessions.
-
Take ownership: debug production issues, simplify complexity, and improve the developer experience along the way.
-
6+ years of professional experience building and maintaining iOS applications at scale.
-
Deep knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, and Swift Concurrency.
-
Comfortable with architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture) and modular app structures.
-
Familiar with CI/CD (Fastlane, GitHub Actions) and App Store release management.
-
You balance technical depth with product awareness — you care about impact, not just implementation.
-
Experienced in mentoring other engineers and guiding technical discussions.
-
Bonus points if you’ve worked on consumer-facing apps in mobility, marketplaces, or fintech.
