Description of Services/Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant, and distributed systems processing mass-scale geospatial datasets
  2. DevOps and debugging of system performance, cloud infrastructure, and geospatial datasets
  3. Deploy and monitor machine learning models in cloud environments, using services like AWS SageMaker and CloudWatch.
  4. Advanced in Typescript, Python (Or OOP), writing and reviewing code for enterprise scale applications.
  5. Possess excellent problem solving skills and ability to work independently within a fast paced environment

Basic Requirements:

  1. TS/SCI with Poly required with current Customer eligibility
  2. Must be willing to work in SCIF daily or as needed, and on call to troubleshoot system outages should they occur
  3. 5+ years of professional software development with experience at scale
  4. Strong expertise in distributed systems design and microservice architecture
  5. Deep understanding of cloud-native technologies and AWS services (ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, SageMaker, RDS, DynamoDB)
  6. Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK)
  7. Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, etc)
  8. DevOps: Monitoring (CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc), logging, and alerting
  9. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Distributed Systems: Message queues, event-driven architecture, eventual consistency
  2. Data Engineering: Stream processing, ETL pipelines, data warehousing
  3. MLOps: Model validation and deployment for inference, and performance monitoring.
  4. Performance Optimization: Profiling, debugging, capacity planning
  5. Experience with real-time geospatial processing and analysis
  6. Contributions to open-source projects
  7. System design experience with focus on scalability and reliability
  8. Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
