OneVest is backed by notable investors including Salesforce Ventures, Allianz Life Ventures, TIAA Ventures, OMERS Ventures, Fin Capital, Deloitte Ventures, and more. If you’re passionate about finance, technology, and making a real impact, this is the perfect opportunity to be part of something big.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly technical and platform-focused Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our new Builder Platform. This critical product serves as the foundational layer that empowers both external developers and internal product teams to build features efficiently and extend the core OneVest platform.

You will be the ultimate champion for the developer experience, ensuring our APIs, SDKs, tooling and documentation are robust and intuitive. This role requires deep technical acumen and a genuine obsession with creating a world-class platform that empowers developers and admins alike to succeed.

Your Responsibilities
  • Define and champion the Builder Platform's vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with OneVest’s mission and internal technology goals.
  • Deeply understand the needs of both external partner developers and internal engineering teams through continuous research, interviews, and community feedback to identify key pain points and opportunities.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog for core platform components, including public and private APIs, SDKs, developer portals, documentation, and usage monitoring tools.
  • Balance stakeholders: Effectively manage the competing priorities and dependencies between accelerating internal feature development and fostering a thriving external ecosystem.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering and design to translate platform strategy into crystal-clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for high-quality, iterative releases.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as internal adoption, API stability, time-to-market for new features, and developer satisfaction, sharing insights with senior management.
  • Evangelize the Builder Platform, driving its adoption and utility across all relevant internal and external communities.
Your Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in a Product Manager or similar role, with a strong focus on building and managing developer platforms, internal tools, shared services, or APIs.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong command of technical concepts (e.g., RESTful APIs, webhooks, system architecture, security) and the ability to engage fluently with engineers on technical trade-offs. Prior experience working on services consumed by both internal and external parties is highly valued.
  • Developer Experience (DX) Focus: Mastery of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) applied specifically to optimize the DX—ensuring streamlined onboarding, clear documentation, frictionless integration, and rapid iteration for platform users.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Iterative Delivery Mindset: Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and deliver continuous value through small, frequent, and measurable releases in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to clearly articulate complex technical ideas, requirements, and value propositions to both technical and business audiences.
  • Mindset: A strong passion for building ecosystems, obsessing over developer success, and creating intuitive, well-documented experiences that serve as force multipliers for the entire engineering organization.

What It’s Like To Work With Us:
