We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Software Developer who will help build our Altitude suite of products. If you love technology, and are keen to join an industry leader - we would love to hear from you!

What you'll do:

As a Software Developer, your key area of responsibility will be adding functionality and features on the front-end to our customer facing website. You will need to work closely with Product, UX, and other developers.

The opportunity:

• 8, 12, or 16-month work-term beginning January 2026.
• Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.

How you'll make an impact:

• Define, design, and implement new software applications in collaboration with other members of the development and technical teams, based on industry standards and best practices.
• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Perform Test-Driven and Security-Driven Development.
• Conduct comprehensive code reviews and ensure that coding standards are followed.
• Help maintain code quality, organization and automation.
• Perform maintenance programming for existing applications.
• Consider the functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules and system architecture for each assignment.
• Provide recommendations for improvements in the overall development process.

What you'll bring to the role:

• Diploma/Degree specialization in Computer Science, Electrical, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience programming with React, JavaScript, CSS and HTML
• Experience in Python, TypeScript, ES6,  Vite, GO, Google Compute Engine, Google BigQuery are an asset
• Working knowledge of Cloud computing experience is an asset
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions
• A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization
• Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
