As our Back End Sofware Engineer you'll contribute to building and optimizing the APIs and backend services that empower our clients to enhance their experiences. The role is perfect for someone who enjoys working on technicallly challenging projects, delivering high quality solutions, and collaborating closely with team members to drive results.
Itâs also fun; shaking things up is what working for a growing company is all about. So youâll need to be flexible, comfortable with continuous change, and working in a high-tempo environment as we grow.
What do I need to bring with me? đ§ł
Youâll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that youâre willing to learn. Hereâs what the team will be looking for:
đ Proven backend development experience: Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java/C#, Ruby, or Node.js, with a track record of building efficient and reliable backend systems đ Comfort with working in Go in the future is essential, as it's the primary language used for this role đ API development expertise: Familiarity with API design principles, including authentication (OAuth, JWT), versioning, error handling, rate limiting, and security best practices đ Collaborative mindset: Ability to work effectively within a team, taking direction, sharing knowledge, and contributing to the success of joint projects đ Focus on quality and testing: Hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and ensuring high standards in code quality and reliability đ CI/CD familiarity: Understanding of continuous integration and deployment automation concepts to streamline development workflows đ Adaptability and resilience: Comfortable navigating changing requirements and fast-paced environments, with experience working in Agile settings using tools like JIRA and GitEqually important is attitude.
