Job Summary

The Helper C ensures the safety, cleanliness, and integrity of assigned properties. They work closely with the Chief Engineer to address property issues and implement preventive measures to enhance resident satisfaction and protect property investments.

Responsibilities

  • Address building and residential issues, collaborating with the Building Engineer and coordinating with third-party vendors.
  • Respond promptly to resident service requests, including after-hours emergencies when on-call.
  • Oversee property cleanliness, perform janitorial tasks, and assist with apartment turnovers.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance tasks and proactively identify upcoming needs.
  • Report critical issues, like water infiltration or mold, promptly.
  • Engage positively with residents, emphasizing excellent customer service.
  • Handle seasonal tasks like snow removal and maintain the property's exterior.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of experience in general building maintenance is required.
  • Experience in light plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general skilled trades preferred. 
  • Own a personal smartphone (stipend provided) for work-related tasks.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • EPA certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Suite.
