Weâre looking for a Junior Full Stack Engineer whoâs eager to learn, curious about how things work, and motivated to build clean, scalable software. Youâll join a fast-moving team of experienced engineers and get hands-on exposure to the full development lifecycle, from building features to testing, deploying, and iterating.This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in software development whoâs excited about solving real-world problems with code and wants to grow into a confident, independent contributor. Youâll work with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to ship features that have a real impact on how governments and applicants move through the permitting process.
As a Junior Full stack Engineer at Clariti, youâll get to :
- Build and maintain features across our full-stack platform (Next.js, Express, Firebase, and more)
- Write clean, modular, and testable code using modern JavaScript/TypeScript practices
- Learn and contribute to both frontend (React/Chakra UI) and backend (Node.js/Express/Firebase) systems
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and regular team stand-ups
- Help debug issues and track down bugs in production or development environments
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests (Jest, Vitest, Cypress, etc.)
Collaborate with senior engineers to learn best practices in architecture, testing, and DevOps - Contribute to improving developer documentation and internal tooling
- Learn how to work within CI/CD workflows and GitHub Actions pipelines
What do you bring to the team? đ§
- 1â2 years of professional experience as a full stack, frontend, or backend developer
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field (i.e.Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering) or previous internship, bootcamp, or project work demonstrating real applications
- Solid understanding of JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Experience with at least one web framework (React, Vue, Angular, etc.)
- Exposure to server-side development (Node.js, Express, or similar)
- Basic knowledge of databases and working with APIs (REST, Firebase, etc.)
- Comfort using Git and modern version control practices
- Eagerness to learn from feedback and continuously improve your skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A growth mindset and willingness to take ownership of your learning and contributions
Bonus Points đ
- Experience with Firebase (Firestore, Auth, or Cloud Functions)
- Familiarity with testing tools like Jest, Cypress, or Playwright
- Interest in civic tech, government platforms, or real-world impact software
- Exposure to CI/CD tools or GitHub Actions

đ° The base salary range for this role is expected to be between $85,000-115,000 based on the candidateâs skills, experience, and qualifications while considering internal pay equity and our broader pay philosophy. đ°

Background checks - Because our customers trust us with sensitive information, we require all successful candidates to undergo comprehensive background checks before joining our team. We focus strictly on global sanctions and criminal offences that are directly relevant to employment at Clariti, and follow all applicable privacy and human rights legislation.
Travel- Although we operate as a remote company, all roles are expected to participate in occasional travel for in-person company-wide or departmental meetings, typically 1-2 times per year. Additional travel requirements specific to the role, if any, will be outlined in the job description.
