Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Project Manager with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex enterprise ServiceNow implementations. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of project management experience, including demonstrated experience managing ServiceNow projects for public sector agencies or organizations. This role requires a strategic leader who can navigate complex stakeholder environments while ensuring successful project delivery.

 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of ServiceNow implementation projects from initiation through closure
  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, timelines, resource allocation, budget, and risk management strategies
  • Manage multiple concurrent ServiceNow implementations across different modules and client engagements
  • Define project governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and escalation procedures aligned with public sector requirements
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards and client expectations
  • Serve as primary point of contact for public sector clients and senior stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client executives, project sponsors, and key decision-makers
  • Conduct regular steering committee meetings and executive status updates
  • Address client concerns proactively and escalate issues appropriately through established governance channels
  • Lead cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, tech leads, and QAs
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure team accountability for deliverables
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop contingency plans for high-impact risks
  • Manage issue log and drive timely resolution of project blockers
  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking costs against forecasts
  • Monitor resource utilization and project profitability
  • Prepare budget reports and variance analysis for management review
  • Establish quality standards and ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices
  • Oversee testing strategies including UAT coordination with public sector users
  • Conduct quality reviews and ensure solutions meet functional and technical requirements

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of project management experience delivering IT/software implementation projects
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing ServiceNow implementation projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing at least 2-3 ServiceNow projects for public sector agencies or public sector organizations
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-module ServiceNow implementations
  • Experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $500K and teams of 10+ members
  • Deep understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities and implementation methodologies
  • Experience with multiple ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, GRC, CSM, FSM, HRSD, Security Operations, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow upgrade cycles, instance management, and platform best practices
  • Understanding of ServiceNow integration patterns and technical architecture
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow Agile Development methodology
  • Strong command of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
  • Experience with project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, ServiceNow PPM/SPM, etc.)
  • Expertise in scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and resource management
  • Knowledge of change management principles and organizational change practices
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification (PRINCE2, etc.)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist in one or more modules/ ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ITIL Foundation or higher certification
  • Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, SAFe, etc.)
