Our main Engineering challenges at Teads- Build efficient and easy-to-use web & ctv products used by thousands of users working for the world’s most premium publishers, advertisers, and agencies.
- Rich and diverse tech stack and system architecture to optimize for performance, scalability, resiliency, and cost efficiency. We use mostly Scala and TypeScript, among others.
- Working in a very high-traffic environment (2.2 billion users per month, 100 billion events per day) with low latency and high availability constraints (2 million requests per second, responses in less than 150 milliseconds).
- Management of large datasets with milliseconds order of magnitude access time, to compute in a near real-time complex auction resolution algorithm (18 million predictions per second).
- A fast-changing environment where we continuously collaborate with Product, UI/UX teams and constantly adapt our Cloud infrastructure for new features and Products.
- Bring a wide diversity of profiles to the same level of quality and knowledge
- Work in an international environment with offices located in Israel, Slovenia and France.
Our CTV HomeScreen Team
- Builds a premium ad experience directly on connected TV homescreens, where content recommendations usually appear
- Delivers high quality, non intrusive and optional ad formats for top tier advertisers
- Operates one of the company’s fastest growing and most strategic activities with an expected 100M€ turnover this year and a significant growth for next year .Works with major supply partners including LG, VIDAA for HiSense, TCL and WhaleTV
- Split between Montpellier and Paris with 6 full stack engineers, 1 engineering manager, 1 product manager and 1 data analyst
- Owns the full product scope: partners integrations, campaign setup tools for ops and sales, delivery monitoring, build apps for internal & external partners, as well as algorithmic optimizations to improve our delivery (performance, margin, …)
As a Software Engineer, your mission will be to:
- Design, build, and ship features across our sophisticated backend systems, primarily written in Scala.
- Contribute to our full-stack needs with our Node.js and React applications.
- Collaborate with a diverse, international team split between France and Israel to solve complex problems in the AdTech space.
- Champion software quality through robust testing, clean architecture, and best practices, elevating our codebase and mentoring junior engineers.
- Work in an Agile environment that values sustainable processes, open communication, and regular virtual socials to keep our distributed team connected.
What will you bring to the team?
- An experienced full-stack engineer, ideally proficient in Scala and React.js. You’re comfortable tackling challenges where scale, performance and reliability drive real engineering decisions.
- A proven track record of designing, shipping, and maintaining features in complex production environments, and the curiosity to explore topics ranging from backend systems to real-time algorithmic constraints.
- A commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code and a passion for continuous improvement. You like environments where you can influence architecture and share knowledge.
- A collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken). You enjoy working with cross functional teams and learning from diverse profiles.
- A growth mindset, you're eager to learn new technologies and share your knowledge with the team.
