  • Acts as a liaison with Business Analysts and/or internal/external clients to ensure healthcare integration requirements – including HL7 standards – are clearly understood and documented.
  • Develops, produces, and executes unit test cases for healthcare integration components (e.g., HL7, FHIR, CDA interfaces) as defined by the team.
  • Adheres to and helps maintain coding and healthcare integration standards, including compliance with relevant HL7 guidelines.
  • Produces supporting technical, integration, and installation documentation for healthcare interfaces (HL7 messages, APIs, etc.) for both internal and external publication as appropriate.
  • Achieves productivity targets to ensure healthcare integration deliverables are met within budget, on schedule, and to defined quality standards.
  • Completes all necessary software, integration scripts (such as HL7 message processing), and related non-software components within the timelines defined by the scope or Project Manager.
  • Produces technical specifications, healthcare integration code, and/or unit test plans in alignment with the traceability matrix and functional specification.
  • Guides the team in improving the quality and productivity of healthcare integration efforts, sharing knowledge of HL7 and healthcare interoperability best practices.
  • Assists in scoping integration work, especially around healthcare messaging and data exchange needs.
  • Suggests improvements to established healthcare integration processes and methodologies, incorporating emerging standards such as HL7 FHIR.
  • Evaluates estimates and asks appropriate questions to derive more accurate effort estimations for healthcare integration work.
  • Develops proof of concepts for new healthcare integration ideas or complex solutions, including innovative uses of HL7 and related standards.
